Credo

The person that needs to do something is not that person. The person that needs to do something is you! Some of those people in your life do not deserve your good thoughts. In other words, "They are bad. They are evil. They are wrong! They are inappropriate. They do not deserve your good thoughts," and you stubbornly are not going to give them any. They may not deserve your good thoughts. But you do. You deserve your good thoughts about them. This is what the Art of Allowing is. It's allowing my own Well-being.

Credo (for Kim)

As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties, the inmost strength of the heart is developed.

Credo

We would like you to reach the place where you're not willing to listen to people criticize one another… where you take no satisfaction from somebody being wrong… where it matters to you so much that you feel good, that you are only willing to think positive things about people… you are only willing to look for positive aspects; you are only willing to look for solutions, and you are not willing to beat the drum of all of the problems of the world.

Credo

A young Palestinian man was found in Israel; he had a bomb strapped to him. When it detonated, it didn't detonate properly and he was wounded. He did not get the triumphant results that he was seeking; he did not blow himself up and the people that were around him. And so he was captured. When the newsman asked him, "Why did you do this?" He said, "They killed my friend and I wanted to die." In other words, it was that simple: "They killed my friend and I wanted to die."

We think that those pure and simple words speak to this (Middle East Crisis) more clearly than all other words that have been spoken. It is that feeling that you've done this to me, so I'll do this to you, then you'll do this to me, and then I'll do this to you. And what happens in that is: It just gets bigger and bigger, and bigger. And no one ever wins. There is no triumph that ever comes from any of that.

Whaaaat?

Whilst taking a leisurely, holiday bicycle ride, I noticed this strange statement tagged on a portable toilet.  "Do nothing out of love."

I've a hunch author IMV was dumped or somehow otherwise had his/her heart bruised.

I'm intrigued by the editing. What's up with the less it?

Problems + spray paint = that mess.

Don't listen to crabby ol' IMV, dahling... do everything out of love.

In fact, that's now today's credo:

Do everything out of love

*SPECIAL UPDATE!!!*

DJB told me just after posting that the less it is not, in fact, an editorial mark indicating omission, it's simply a shadow on a crease in the Porta-Potty wall; a design feature, if you will.

Who includes ANY design features in a portable toilet? It's a stupid, sh*t-haulin', portable toilet... just let it be that. This totally nullifies my war with IMV. I am pissed about it.

So, let's give that g.d. sage, IMV, credit for providing today's credo:  Do nothing less it out of love

All flowery with the "less it." Probably having Shakespearean fantasies right now. Sophist.

I still don't like IMV. Nevah will! There, I said it.

Credo

The thing that most people do not understand is that you get to control the way you feel, because you get to choose the thoughts you think.

Most people think that they only have the option of responding to the circumstances that surround them. And that's what makes them attempt the impossible, which is to control the circumstances around them, which only feeds their feeling of frustration and vulnerability because it doesn't take very much life experience to discover you can't control all of those circumstances.

But you can control your vibration.

And when you control your vibration, you've controlled everything that has anything to do with you.

"The secret to forgiving everything is to understand nothing."

George Bernard Shaw

Ummm... about the pic... It's titled Joseph forgives his Brothers, as in Genesis 45:1-15 and 50:15-21. It is an illustration from a Bible card published by the Providence Lithograph Company.

That does NOT look like Joseph forgiving his brothers. It looks like Joseph's about to do something entirely different. Haaaay, Joe! Get it! Look at the rest of the girls in the back. Now THAT'S high drama. I love each and every one of them. Fabulous. No question.

All kidding aside, it all kind of ties in with the quote, though: Who knows what Joseph is up to, or what's going on with his posse back there. We need not presume, or attempt to get a handle on what's actually going with Joseph. Let's just leave him alone and let him do his own thing. Live and let live, Joseph. Peace, my brother.

Lesson adjourned.

"For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit; stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same; there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."
